Data protection
This webpage (in the following “aubiko-webpage”) is provided by aubiko e.V – association for exchange, education and communication (in the following aubiko).
We are happy about your visit on the aubiko-webpage and about your interest in our information and service. Aubiko values the protection of personal data and takes all technical measures to guarantee the highest data protection possible.
Based on the following privacy policy (data protection) we want to inform you about which kind of data is collected during your visit on the aubiko-webpage and how this data is being used. You find documents with detailed information about data protection, for i.e. exchange program applicants, in the concerning paragraphs of the following link. Via these link documents can be downloaded.

1. Responsible bodies
The responsible body in the sense of the Federal Data Protection Act is aubiko.

2. Collection, processing and use of data
2.1 General Information
Personal based data is individual information about personal or factual relations of a specific person. This includes i.e. the name, direction, phone number or e-mail address. We use this personal based data according to the actual legal votes, especially with the Telemedia Act policies and the Federal Data Protection Act.
2.2 Automatically collected usage data
Server-Logfiles protocol uses data during every usage of this webpage. This logfile-information is being passed on by your browser automatically. The data recorded is the following:
IP-address (Internet protocol-address) of the device from which aubiko-webpage is being called; internet address of the webpage from which the aubiko webpage is being called (so called source URL or referrer URL); Name of the called file and/or information; date and hour as well as duration of the visit; transmitted amount of data; operating system and information about the internet-browser of the device calling the aubiko-website; http-status-code (e.g. “request successful” or “demanded file not found”).
Aubiko will store Logfile-Information of the above kind for safety reasons for the duration of seven days. All information will be deleted afterwards (except data necessary for evidence reasons). In explicit cases Logfile-information can be passed on to the investigative authority.
Further logfile-information are stored anonymously and evaluated statistically to improve this webpage.
2.3 Contact form
You have the possibility to send us a message via the general contact form on the aubiko-webpage. To do so, mentioning your e-mail-address is obligatory. If you wish to receive our answer by phone call or letter you can leave your phone number or post address within the contact form. Aubiko uses your data from the contact form exclusively for taking care of your requests and comments as well as to respond to your messages.

For specific groups there is additional information concerning data protection provided. These groups are listed below. This information is usually sent together with your documents.
3.1 For applicants for an exchange place abroad
Applicants for an exchange year abroad receive further information regarding data protection with their application documents.
3.2 For applicants for an exchange program within Germany

4. Cookies
Aubiko webpage uses cookies from Google Analytics and DoubleClick. Cookies are files containing text-information which are transmitted to your internet-browser while the offer is being retrieved. Cookies will be stored to your computer automatically. Cookies don`t provide aubiko access to refer to not registered users. But they do offer the possibility of making the internet more user friendly. They so enable registered user (as online applicants and user of the intranet) to navigate on the aubiko webpage without having to login again. The information stored for this purpose which could connect the content of the cookies with the user, is being deleted as soon as the user logs out or after a certain “timeout“.
The automatic storage of the cookies to your device can be deactivated via the settings of your internet-browser but might reduce the function capacity of the internet-based service. Already stored cookies can be deleted any time in the system settings of your internet browser.

5. Web analysis
The aubiko website uses Google Analytics, a webanalysis service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, following „Google”) with the integrated advertising function for „DoubleClick“-platform. Google Analytics uses Cookies (see section 5.), which are stored on their computers and make it possible to analyse the usage of the website. The information about your visit on the website which is produced by the Cookie is being transferred to and stored on a server provided by Google in the USA.
In the behalf of aubiko, Google will use this information to evaluate your usage of the aubiko website in order to compile reports about the activity of the website and to bring further services to aubiko which are connected to the usage of the website and the usage of the internet.
The IP-address which your Browser submits as part of Google Analytics won´t be put together with other Google data but be anonymised by shortening. Aubiko won´t use the submitted data to identify the visitor personally and won´t put it together with person related data either. You can deactivate the cookies used for the web analysis by changing your Internet-Browser-Settings. BE aware that this might affect the usage of the internet offer (for more detailed information refer to section “Cookies”).
Moreover, you can prevent the registration of your data which is produced by cookies and linked to your visit of the aubiko website by Google as well as the processing of this data by google. We want to inform you that aubiko has no influence on this concern.

Aubiko reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time without notice. Please inform yourself at any usage of our webpage about the currently valid privacy policy.

8. Right of information
You have the right to demand information about the data stored about you, its origin, its recipients and the purpose of storage. On demand we will gladly provide you with full information about your stored data.

9. Data security
According to the prior art aubiko takes all the necessary efforts to safe your personal data from distortion, being lost or taken into account by unauthorized people.
