Program for March
Day 1:
- 13:30 – 18:00 – Sightseeing in BerlinThere s a lot to see on the Potsdamer Platz, but also a lot of to discover. Hardly any other space could change so drastically and is a unique witness of the Berlin history. We’ll show you how it was here before and what to discover today. Afterwards we visit the Brandenburg Gate, the memorial for the murdered Jews of Europe and the
memorial for the murdered homosexuals during the National Socialism. Then we will take a walk through Alexander Platz and the government district (Regierungsviertel). We will have a look at Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
(Gedächtniskirche) that was badly damaged in a bombing raid in 1943. At the end we will go to the Mauerpark and Check Point Charlie. The tour is conducted by people in Berlin who experienced the fall of the Berlin Wall themselves. How was it that back then? How is it today? What role does the wall still play for people in Berlin? The students are welcome to ask many questions as this is a unique opportunity to explore German history. - 08:00 – 19:00 – Boat trip on Spree

- 09:00 – 12:30 – Workshop about linguistic and intercultural introduction to the topic „History and sights of Berlin“
- 12:30 – 13:30 – Lunch time in the accommodation
Day 3:
- 08:00 – 09:00 – Breakfast
- 09:00 – 12:30 – Visit of a German school
- 12:30 – 13:30 – Lunch time in the school canteen
- 13:30 – Journey to Potsdam
- 19:00 – Dinner in Potsdam
Day 4:
- 08:00 – 09:00 – Breakfast
- 09:00 -12:30 – Workshop:
- First part: reflecting the visit of the German school
- Second part: German politics
- 12:30-13:30 – Lunch time in the accommodation
- 13:30 – Visiting of Bundestag/Reichstagkuppel
- 19:00 – Dinner
Day 5:
- Short sightseeing and departure
